rps Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I just posted an article in my blog. The topic is trolling for walleyes in the White River system. If you have the time or interest, please read it and leave a comment with any suggestions you may have for making the article better - either as to the writing or as to the information.

rps Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 I aspired to having the article posted. I did not expect the help. Thank you. As soon as I can get to the computer where the pictures are stored, I will forward with some ideas about where they seemed to me to fit. jpg format?
ozark trout fisher Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I don't know anything about walleye fishing, but I read your article, and I think it is very good. It is informative, thorough, understandable, essentially the whole package. In my unprofessional opinion your article seems to be completely publishable, except it would probably be necessary to edit it for length.
RSBreth Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Throw in a picture or three and a couple of illustrations and you are close to an In-Fisherman article. Well, maybe not - but headed in that direction. I thought it was good.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted October 5, 2011 Root Admin Posted October 5, 2011 jpg- yes. If you can cut them down, make them no more than 500 px wide. Phil

Chief Grey Bear Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 I just read it and thought it was very well written. There is a wealth of information that could fill a book you packed into that and I know that it came from years of experience. Well done my friend. Hey, and when you become a well known writer for national mags, which you are well on your way!, can I tell people that you once owned the canoe I have????? Guest Posted October 6, 2011 Posted October 6, 2011 Thanks for the article. I am in the process of learning longline trolling for walleye on a lake in southern Illinois, and the article definitely lessened my learning curve . I have had a few successful trips, but sometimes I get blanked. I really haven't tried to troll any deeper than about 20 feet or so, so I will have to give the leadcore a shot. I like fat free shads, FF fingerling, and FF guppies. They are inexpensive, cover different depths and match different sizes of shad which I think is a very important aspect. I have been changing out the trebles though, I have lost a few fish to bent hooks. Can you cover bottom bouncing with crawlers in your next article?
