ollie Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 Now who will back me up when I have to make those important executive decisions to disqualify Buzz? Chief Grey Bear Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Just go ahead and disqualify him now. I think, if I remember, just him showing up is a violation! Buzz Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Already trying to knock me out of it, huh? Too bad you're not going to make it Chief. It's definitely supposed to be a cold one. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 High of 45 on Sunday is what I see. What's wrong with that? Looks like it could be a good day to me. Remember, starts at 9:00 and we will meet over in the MDC parking lot by the new bridge close to the mill. ollie Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Well, put another one in the books. For those of you who couldn't come, Buzz and I tied catching fish this year so we will be co-winners!! Although I question Buzzes method of fishing! I would disqualifiy him, but I won't since he didn't out catch me before noon! lol Although he ended up outcatching me in the end, we were neck and neck for sometime. Actually, we both thought that we were going to get skunked until around 11:00 when I stuck two in a row up above Buzz. Funny cuz right after that I got hung up (again) and he stuck two right in the hole he was in! It was then on like Donkey Kong! There for about 30 minutes or so we were both either catching one or losing one that was on. We each caught 6 before noon and then a few more after that. I almost forgot, Buzz caught the first one and it was a little brown, after that they were all bows. I caught mine on olive/brown combo and I think Buzz caught his on a plastic worm. Blasemphy I say!!!! Great day all in all. drew03cmc Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Plastic worm? He couldn't catch them in a sporting manner? Andy
Buzz Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 It was quite sportsman like. I was challenged and I used my arsenal. I warned him that I may have to bring out the big guns and I did. Hell, I never said I was one of those fly rodders that was opposed to using plastics, I'm just a fly rodder that enjoys catching fish. It was sort of like the first ( unnamed ) Olliefest, just me and Ollie. We did have a few doubles and the fishing was pretty fast for about an hour. Good times. If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
ollie Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 Good times indeed! Ended up catching fish in the hole we started catching fish in the first year! It was cold I will tell you that, but well worth it. I'm going to have to outlaw the plastics next year!!!
