Aaron J Scott Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Packed up both the rod and the photo gear and headed to the Lower Wire Road access yesterday, hoping to find some fall color and maybe a few fish. Looks like I missed the leaves by a fews days, maybe a week or so, but finally landed my first couple of Crane Creek McClouds. Didn't get any good photos of the fish, but I think this photo is a keeper: Save Scratch, Raise Cash. Fish Itch!
mic Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Dude, that is getting the Ansel Adams range of pretty.
RSBreth Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Nice shot - me and my son visited today and caught a couple.
Chief Grey Bear Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Great pic. I am a bit puzzled about the leaves though. I am about 45 miles due west and we haven't hardly lost a leaf. Breath taking color over here right now. drew03cmc Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 We haven't had leaves for two plus weeks up here. Kind of sad really. Andy
Andrew324 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 It was great to meet you Saturday Aaron, I really enjoy your photography. I hope some of this rain can bring the stream up to wash out all the leaves, but it might not happen. The water is almost too low for my taste right now. In the interest of fall color, here is a pic I took that same day while on boston mountain road. Andrew Nelson Outdoor Adventures Graduate Assistant Campus Recreation Missouri State University
Andrew324 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Was on the stream for a few hours today. Lots of leaves and sticks swirling around the stream but it is up maybe a 6-10 inches a little. Fishing was tough only nabbed one. Maybe try again friday if the water chills out a bit. Andrew Nelson Outdoor Adventures Graduate Assistant Campus Recreation Missouri State University

I don't know if you got to get out today or not. I had the opportunity for a few hours this afternoon. Thanks to our veterans I had the chance to exercise my freedom to fish a nice stretch of public water, unfortunately the trout exercised their freedom to not bite. I did get a chance to visit with the owner of the dairy farm, he was really helpful and informative.
