Fished the NFoW last Friday & Saturday..Did the Kelly to Sunburst float in a friends drifter on Friday. Water low, really windy, & bluebird...fishing was really slow. 4 for me and a dozen for the boat. Canoe floated it on Saturday with Bobber. Hazy, windy, & low...6 for me, but Bobber put on a nymph fishing master class..16-17 for him, including one he taped and a 17". Fishing was slow but it was a grand time. Great company, and plenty of wildlife...Flock of Turkeys, couple eagles, lots of herons, and a couple deer along the way. Didnt hear much shooting, but one group did well...They paddled past us at the Falls on Saturday, then saw them unload two nice bucks and a doe at ROLF ramp. Must have been hunting up between Hammond & Rainbow because we didnt see their boats on the way down.

The lower float was producing a mixed bag, rainbows, largies, & smallmouth for those who fished it. Best report was an 18" brown..Had to drop to 5&6x to get hits, but the usuall suspects produced. Should be better after this weeks rain. Good Luck.

Nice report Gavin.....Fished Sunburst - James Sunday with Big John, both caught around 10 or so fish. Nice Bow at the first island, and as you we had 3 eagles follow down river. 1st time on the NFofW where I used anything smaller than 4x, had to go 6x, hard to believe. Great bunch of guys and found I can still go to sleep no matter how LOUD the music was......

Nice! We'll be down there next Friday for a day, then heading down to Ark. after that for a couple of days. Hopefully with some more rain tomorrow we'll have a bit more water then you guys. 700cfs+ would be awesome, probably going to be less then that though.

Good weekend all around, and the recently stocked browns helped pad the numbers :)

Lots of fish on eggs, and I did well around Justin's place on buggers and yuk buggs, as well as high-sticking scuds and heavy nymphs along the deeper tubs. Some of the larger fish I caught (rainbows 13-14") came drifting nymphs only a rod-length or two from where I was wading. Saw a few redds, two with a pair of fish each, but most without occupants. Some eagles, some otters, some deer. Great group of folks, always a fun time, and I always learn something new...including how tough it is to keep some folks awake :D
