Members LOZman Posted November 27, 2011 Members Posted November 27, 2011 Hello, I learned about this forum from DChance. I am a deep water angler who learned to fish on highland lakes in the 1950-60's. I am a former tourney guy who now fishes for fun. I learned my deep water tactics from my father and grandfather at Norfork and Table Rock. I now split my time between St. Louis and Lake of the Ozarks. I am a BassCat guy and run a Puma. You can find me fishing around the Lodge of Four Seasons and anywhere from the dam to the 24 mm. I will periodically post some deep water tactics for large bass.
junkman Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Welcome LOZman. I hope you find this forum an asset for you. there is a great wealth of info for the novice and the experienced. look forward to reading your posts even though I never fish deep water. Mark
rps Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 Welcome! I understand your preference. The deep water fish do not see as much pressure as those shallow. Most of the time, those throwing at the bank would be better served to turn around and throw out.
Members Stragler Posted November 27, 2011 Members Posted November 27, 2011 Thanks, looking forward to reading & learning about Deep Water tactics for bass...
Dutch Posted November 27, 2011 Posted November 27, 2011 When you refer to deep water what is the range you call deep? I was talking to some Texas guys who say deep is anything over 5 fow.
Members freelancer 11 Posted November 28, 2011 Members Posted November 28, 2011 Good glad to see somebody willing to give me some help on the deep stuff, I have no confidence in that style. I would love to learn more about it since I fish some winter tourneys at LOZ.
