I have an older Lowrance LMS-337C DF. I believe I will replace it this spring with a "mapping" model since its main use is for its gps. Anyway this older unit has a couple issues I need opinions on. FIRST of all, it turns itself on after about 10 seconds of powering off. I have reciently discovered that while up on the lift, "after the unit has turned itself back on", there is now an audiable ticking sound comming from the transducer. I had planned on selling this unit on ebay, but if it is going belly up I cant screw someone intentionally.

Other than the turning on & clicking, it SEEMS to work fine. So what do yall think ? Is this unit dying ?

The clicking is the transducer? If so, transducers do click if out of water.

Ohhh, thats good. I never noticed the ticking before. Unless I am doing something wrong, the unit still powers itself OM. UNLESS I am not shutting it down correctly.. I better do more research.. Thanks.

If you can catch Lowrance in the right mood, you might get a trade in because your unit has the keyboard going out and can not be fixed. You might get more of a trade in than you would cash. It is worth a phone call to find out.

So the "keyboard is going out"? Trade in ? Interesting. Have not though of that... thanks for the idea.
