Stump bumper Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I have been looking for one of the new Luck e strike Wart Hogs. Just wondering if it is like a "new" wiggle wart or a one peice design like the old wiggle wart or is a copy of the old Wart Hog that used to be produced here in Arkansas that I didn't like at all. I am really hoping it is the "old" wiggle wart reborn."old" wiggle warts for $3 a piece would be a dream come true.
Members ksbass Posted December 3, 2011 Members Posted December 3, 2011 SB you might get your wish. I don't have one but googled "Luck E Strike Wart Hog" and had a ton of hits. Some youtube videos too with Rick Clunn. Here a quote from a site: "Luck E Strike is introducing a new, old bait called the Warthog. This little crank is made for early spring and clear water environments. The colors are mostly translucent with the bait in its prime on light line. The scuttlebutt is that this bait has been a well kept secret in the Ozark’s for some time. Now the word, and the bait, are out. Look for them soon at your favorite tackle shop." Rick Clunn talking about new old warthog Sounds like a original re-make to me. Nice close-ups in video. What colors would be good to have? Stump bumper Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 I like the Moss green craw and the Chart Black back myself the old green craw was a good color but I don't see a color pattern in the new line that looks like that. I did see the UTube video but I still don't know if Rick Clun was talking about the old Wart Hog or the old old Wiggle wart. The old Storm wiggle warts that were made in OK sell for upwards of $20 even as much as $40 for custom paint jobs so I am hoping lucky e strike was smart enough to go for the old storm design not the old wart hog design.
