Got on the water at noon and fished close to the dam. Spent quite a bit of time back in Orleans Trail cove. Water temp was 47 to 48 degrees. Amazing the temp differences between the dam area and what Straw Hat is reporting up the lake. Caught 13 bass and one walleye, all on a Megabass 110. They sure seemed to be pretty shallow. I probably missed at least 10 where they would hit it and I would sweep the hook and the rod would load up and then they would just pull free. All of them were 14 to 14 3/4. The walleye was nice, around 17 inches.Had my best luck on main lake points.

Yea, I really need to move my fishing closer to the dam right now because the water is warmer there. The wife and I went Saturday. Ice on some of the coves at CC when we drove by. 39 at Ruark bluff and it was 43 at Hartley. The crappie bite was almost non=existant for us. Two keeper crappie and one nice white at 25 to 30 feet. You made the right decision in heading near the dam. Good stringer of fish. Congrats.
