The crappie fishing on Truman right now is as good as i have seen. The lake is up to near full pool again and the crappie are liking it. They are biting in 25 fow on the lower end from long shoal to the dam alomg bluffs" The MDC brush piles in the same depths. Talked to a guy yesterday and he was catching them as shallow as 8 fow and some nice ones. I hane been fishing a 1/4 oz head with a 2 inch nlue and white tube. Takes about 30 minutes to catch a nice limit of 12 to 13 inch crappies. then i have been bass fishing the rest of the day catching alot of bass on crankbaits and jerkbaits. water temps have been starting out at 44 degrees and ending up at 48 to 49. Merry Christmas and good luck

Was more of a hard drizzle but yes enough to wear your rainsuit. No we did not try the bass but we are going to today we are going to try the lower tebo and lower grand today. We are going to put at Long Shoal. The basss as halfway back on channel banks on either a jerkbait of your choice fish dont care how much you spend on them. and a koppers 6-8 ft deep crankbait. You can still catch a few fish on a spinnerbait and the spinnerbait fish seem to be the better fish. but They are getting fewer and farther between. Better get my warm clothes on.

Well rum nice day to be on the water. We caught 7-keepers biggest about 4lbs and 12 shorts most came on the koppers crankbait the others came on the jerkbait no bites on the spinnerbait. Didnt throw it much though. my neighbor threw a eakins jig quite a bit only had 1 short on it. Tomorrow should be better I hope anyways. where are u at downhere?

Koppers is made by a company also called live target. Well i hope you make it sounds like we are going to have a nice weekend. They should still be biting .I am throwing a 1/2 ounce hildebrandt spinnerbait with a #4 and #5 willow blades nickel and gold in char/white I am also throwing an IMA flit jerkbait. hope that helps look for them on channel swings in the creeks timber does not have to be present to catch them either.
