Brian Wise Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Hey guys, Here is the Fall, 2011 video. I'm not going to lie, the "busy" part of fall was pretty lackluster. The water was low and CRAZY clear, fishing was Ok but nothing to write home about. Post-spawn fishing has been really, really good though. Couple hungry, post-spawn fish with great water and you have a recipe for disaster.....a GREAT disaster. Winter is looking phenominal, period. Here you go guys, I hope you like it! Chris Barclay Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 sweet!!! I really need to get down there. Chris St. Louis, MOcbarclayflyrods.combreambum.blogspot.com
Justin Spencer Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 The water is getting "streamer crazy" looking down here, and fish can't pass up big princes and eggs on a good deep drift. Much more optimistic about the spawn that I was a few weeks ago when it was low and clear. I still can't catch any fish but i think that is operator error as others have been having epic days lately. Brian Wise Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 "streamer crazy" I resemble that remark. By the way, you didn't miss much Friday......but Saturday and Sunday.......craziness. Saturday they had two fish over 20" and on Sunday we had one pushing 20 and a big rainbow lost. The fish liked that water. My Youtube Channel
sean c Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Dang Brian you have been busy. Great stuff as always loved the shots of the kids. Noticed a certain boat ramp not normally seen in your videos have you been sticking any big browns on that section?
Brian Wise Posted December 21, 2011 Author Posted December 21, 2011 hahaha, I swear below Patrick is dead to me. For such sexy water it is the most inconsistent on the river--and I fished it more this year than I have the last 5 combined. ALL of the big, big browns we caught this year were from Lamb Shoal (above Kelly) to Patrick. I ran 1 guide trip down to James this year and that is only because the guys were some of my guys that fish with me a lot and they wanted to see that water. My Youtube Channel
Trout Commander Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Nice work Brian. Now I'm jonesing. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
sean c Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Now I'm jonesing. Me too TC. The river is finally up mild weather with clouds the next few days I may come down with a sudden illness and call in sick tomorrow and Friday.
