It was a tough day crappie fishing. I would catch a couple then they would quit some piles nothing. I should have moved more instead of staying on the brush I caught a few at. Took home 5..............caught 27' to 30' on minnows and black an chartruse jig.

You were right, tough fishing. Fished a steep rocky bank today. Caught 7 keeper crappie and 1 walleye (17"). The crappie were all 27 to 32' and the walleye was about 25'. We had several more bites but they just weren't taking it well. I guess I couldn't blame them. I probably wouldn't have much of an appetite if I was in 43 degree water either!! lol

Merry Christmas to all my freinds on Ozark Anglers

Hey guys, I finally made it back on here after something like 6 months. Been fighting with getting my user name to work again, ended up having to create a new one that is close. Anyway, the last time I was out crappie fishing was last monday and we tore them up. Had 2 limits in the freezing rain in about 3 hours, with most being 11"-12". We fished brush piled that a buddy of mine had put in and caught fish on all of them, but the majority of the good ones were in 9 ft of water. We were vertical fishing red/chartreuse tube jigs. I would guess that between the two of us we probably caught right at 100 fish.
