Today I replaced the transom and the board on the jackplate, it needed it BADLY

IMG_20111229_144727.jpg

I used 1/2" plywood three pieces thick for the transom board. I used f26 to glue the wood together and used decking screws to hold the boards. the board that came out was a inch thick and I replaced it with a 1.5" thick piece so it was a tight fit. I made good use of the snap on deadblow hammer for beating the hell out of the board.

Here is a pic of it all bolted up:

I used clear silicone to seal up all the bolts.

Congrats Cody, we will have to meet again at the Narrows and go fishing again sometime. That boat should fly with that jet. I was impressed that day with that jackplate with the lever, I couldn't believe you got where you did with that prop. Congrats!!

There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

It will be a week or two before I can hit the narrows, I gotta wait for the baby before I can be out there with no service.
