Where to start?

First off, thank you very much Phil for letting us fish from your dock this past Saturday. My boys had a blast. We only caught a couple, but they had a good time. So again thank you for that opportunity. They already want to go again this next weekend. There is nothing better that getting out with your kids and doing a little fishin.

Hey Snow Fly, of course I remember you. It was great talking with you. How was your day on the lake? Did you guys find the fish? We caught a couple, nothing to write home about, but we had a great time. My boys want to go back again this next weekend. Thank you very much for the ideas about getting my boys out and teaching them how to fly fish. I will probably plan on doing just that. I took them up to the dam after we were done at Lillys' just to look around and boy were they excited to see all the fish and the people fly fishing. It was quite the experience. We had never been down there before. We didn't get to fish, but we did watch for a while. I would love to get them out there and learn.

I guess I better start saving up some money to get them some fly fishing gear. I also need to learn the fly patterns for around here and start learning how to tie them. I took a fly tying class about 4 years ago and need to get back into it. Are there some patterns out there that you would highly recommend that I learn for this area? Any suggestions would be great.

If you take the kid's to one of the trout parks during C&R, be sure you get a trout stamp for everyone. One is required during "no creel" season regardless of age. The seven bucks for an annual stamp is cheaper than a ticket. People often think that if a licenses is not required, neither is the stamp. That's not true.

Lets see I think we talked Sat. morning so the fishing was the same keep moving and caught small fish again, just no size. I was blessed with about 2 hours left to go on the last day fishing above Fall Creek around the general area of the Stairs and was able to catch an 18" Brown around 4 lbs.? and the color of the fish was the greatest.

Besides getting to visit with all the guys in our group that 1 fish made the whole trip.
