Wayne SW/MO Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 The pontoon would probably work best for you. Given the storage constraints you will want one with a frame that breaks down. I would also go with bladders. You shouldn't have wind issues on the James. The wind issues I've experienced have been on lakes and western canyons. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

That's kind of what I'm thinking, with a decent anchor system and possibly a small trolling motor in the future I think it would be fine.
BackCastingGolfer Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 Well after thinking i was going the pontoon route...I found the Ascend FS12T Kayak...it's a bit out of my price range right now...but I think it would be worth it 499 really isn't that bad.
BackCastingGolfer Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 Kayak it is, found one cheap that I can store easily and make some modifications to. Someone actually already has in on this forum and posted a thread with all the mods, it's at walmart.com for a little over 200 bucks, I can probably do everything I want on it for less than 300 bucks. That leaves me with enough money left over for a new fly tying vise I DESPERATELY need!
