ozarkgunner Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I picked up my new triton on sat. After breaking the engine in for an hour and a small set back with a water pressure gage I finally got to fish. Put in at Nemo just down the road from the boat dealer. Only fished for an hour and a half. 5 bass, 4 keepers on a megabass. I lost a toad by the dam and also had a walleye come unbuttoned. Coves just Off of the main lake in the sun was the trick. All landed bass were on one tree. Water temp was 38-40. iPhone post so excuse the grammer. Angler At Law
conman Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Nice job Gunner. How fast you moving that jerkbait?
ozarkgunner Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 Ten count between jerks. Water was stained slightly. I used a megabass plus one in a off gold color. The plus one 110 dives a little deeper. I like the lake. Angler At Law

conman Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I have caught some Very nice fish on the Jerk Bait since early Nov on the RC Stix. A little confused why the quality of the fish is much better in the fall/winter than in the spring... Cant wait to get back this weekend.
ozarkgunner Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 I wish I could make it up this weekend. I like the rc baits also. The plus one runs a hair deeper which was the key. I agree the bass are bigger in the winter on the jerk bait. I wish I knew why. Angler At Law
