Aquastealth Vs Vibram

Getting opinions before getting my Simms L2 boots resoled. From what I am finding it looks like Aquastealth might be a little "stickier" than Vibram Streamtread, but just doesn't last as long, which I'm not worried about as I only wade fish a few times a year anymore.

I am wondering if a cheap pair of lug sole boots with some boot chains would work as well.

I looked at some Vibram boots and that rubber feels hard as a rock. I know that many rock climbers sole their shoes with Aquastealth.
