Crappie Bite?

Just curious how the crappie fishing is doing lately. I know the lake is still way down and have been hearing the bite is very slow at best. Any info appreciated.

I fished the shallow water dock this afternoon. 5 mile marker on the niangua. Front of the dock in 12 feet with the back at 15. Used a weedless jig, dropping into the brush. They were taking on the first crank up. Shallow water fishing is slow, but starting to improve from last week.
