ryan Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I fished taney last night got to the boat ramp at shepard around 630pm and they were running water. Caught 8 fish on a pink micro jig, cont. fishing and they shut off the water around 730 and that is when the bite really picked up fish were rising all over the place. I tied on a bead head midge and went to work getting bit almost every drift probably caught thirty fish until I could no longer see my indicator. Caught a nice rainbow probably 4lbs and one nice brown that went around 5lbs. The weather was great and I had that area all to myself. As it got dark I tied on a sculpin I was in the middle of stripping it in when my father called my cell phone as I stopped stripping and went to answer my phone I got a BIG bite, never saw the fish and only had it on for about 30 seconds but it never turned or stopped running in that time span. Fished for another half hour at the boat ramp with out another bite so I drove up to outlet 2 probably 8 people fishing the rebar area so kinda crowded, I fished for another 2 hours and only caught 3 short fish, throwing a variety of sculpin, and leech patterns. A great night to be out on the water the weather was great glad fall is finally starting to show. Ryan Clark
