When do they come out? What is the magical water temp? My first winter/spring season trying to fish in the Ozarks and I can't find any warmwater fish.

I wanted to do something other than trout, so I waded up stream from Sunshine yesterday, but no fish. I knew I was in trouble right when I get in, the water felt reeeeaaaal cold. The river is as high as I've seen it (which isn't long, only last summer until now). I ended up just hiking quite a ways up stream, very enjoyable.

I think that I am going to check it out tomarrow. I am going to put in at Micheal Crieghton and kayak up to Hwy D. I was there scouting it out yesterday and saw some Bass, hopefully I can get some on the fly.

Did you have any luck? I just got back from California, and with this beautiful weather, I'd think the bass would be out in no time. That water has got to be warming up considerably.

Yeah, I was about to say, don't forget to wade around the bodies. Looks like a murder based on KY3.

Gotta say, Springfield's getting kind of rough these days.

I've always caught better fish in the upper part of the lake versus further upstream in colder water - but hey - you guy might like to answer questions from Springfield P.D after finding the body vs. actually fishing.
