loo10 Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Gotta get my 2 cents in here: 1.) Wishing My Father Well by Wm Plummer A memoir of fathers, Sons, and Fly-Fishing 2.) Fly Fishing through the Midlife Crisis by Howell Raines Rich Looten Springfield, Missouri "If people don't occasionally walk away from you shaking their heads, you're doing something wrong."- John Gierach

Members Arkamo Traveler Posted December 22, 2005 Members Posted December 22, 2005 Fish Hunter is right on with his book suggestions. The Earth is Enough is about a boy growing up in Arkansas flyfishing with two oldtimers. The book is one you will want to pass on to your friends and children. The story is set on Starlight Creek which has sent many a reader on pilgramages in search of this mythical Arkansas honey hole. MUST READ! The river why is a great work on the same caliber as A River Runs Through It, although quite different.

Members Hayduke-2-O Posted January 2, 2006 Members Posted January 2, 2006 It's true. Duncan will have you looking for more than fish from the River... and more than birds from the trees.
