Terry Beeson Posted September 21, 2006 Posted September 21, 2006 Yeah, I was hoping someone would tie a YS too... Glad you decided to get in, Dano. Don't worry about those tests... Just be sure you study real hard for them the night before... Terry Beeson Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Stress tests... Yeah... I know EVERYTHING there is to know about stress... I could pass that test easy.... Honestly... I'm pretty sure I'm due one myself... But I'm too stressed out with the move and all that goes with it to go to the Dr. Good thing my wife is a nurse... except for the fact she's starting to bug me about going to the Dr for a checkup. Lshack2 Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 I have been a frequent reader but a newbie participant in the forum. I would like to participate in the swap and tie a diamond midge. I understand the basic principles of the swap but may need some coaching... Danoinark Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Welcome LShack bet we can get you all the info you need. Glad to have you here. Terry, I have had several of them tests. I became a member of the 'zipper' club back in 95 and they like to keep track of what is going on. Better mind momma Dano Glass Has Class "from the laid back lane in the Arkansas Ozarks"
Terry Beeson Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 Well, I took the first step this morning. I am quitting the smokes. I quit for a long time and started back due to the stress of being off work and fear of the "unknown" that comes with it. Next step is to lose some weight that found its way to my mid section due to the same thing. I know those are only excuses... but that moment of weakness is all it takes. Still a lot of stress going on, but paying for a house and renting another, I can't AFFORD to smoke!.... Dano, my dad was a member of the zipper club... One piece of advice I can give you is just DON'T SIT DOWN and GIVE UP! Keep moving! He did well for a few years, then decided to "take it easy"... he didn't last long after that. Rolan Duffield Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I'm game for fly swap #2. Include my green midge. I will also commit to photograph these flies for the web site same as Fly Swap #1. Terry. The best thing you could possibly do for yourself is to -- QUIT SMOKING and start walking at least 4 times a week to rebuild the lungs and your health. You'll feel a lot better and be able to enjoy the fishing for many more years. I know from experience. Rolan
Greg Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 In my original post I said a thread and peacock herl midge. I meant a thread and ostrich herl midge. Brown in color. Terry good luck with quitting smoking. I've never smoked but can relate second hand as both my parents smoked as did my in-laws. They've all quit at this point and all are the better for it. By profession I'm a nurse manager and see people every day that cigarettes have just wreaked havoc on their life.
