I have limited experience fishing at night on Taney and want to improve my night time skills. It was such a great evening as far as the weather was concerned so I thought I would give it a try. I had spent an hour or so tying up some Black and White Wooleys just in case. My wife loves to fish so she decided to go along with me. We got to outlet 2 about 11 PM with no one fishing at the stairs. Started out using a black wooley with no success. I was casting, my wife was fishing. We brought only one rod since again my night fishing skills are limited and she felt her casting was not adequate enough to fish at night without a jumble of tangles. No strikes on the black wooley. Switched to a white one and she would get small takes. She finally got a hookset and I swear (without seeing it of course) that fish tail danced for a few seconds then promptly threw the wooley. But you talk about one excited lady. That made the night even though we were fishless. We fished between outlet 2 and the TU stairs and left the water about 2 AM. Ran into one gent who said a he had caught 3 small fish on a zonker. The trip did prompt me to make more night trips, if not for the fish catching, but for the serenity of being on the river at that time of the day. I just know that I need to be around some of you experienced night timers to get some tips and trade secrets :)

It is nice and quiet most nights. Leonard said there were alot of people there last night but alot of people at night isn't like alot of people during the day.
