mic Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 I can't make it down to MO tomorrow. Is anyone having luck with farm pond fishing on the east side of the river.
Kayser Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Bass are moving to the banks, biting on crappie jigs. Crappie haven't moved shallow yet, but are feeding pretty well. White jigs/tube jigs with a pink crappie nibble working pretty well. WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
Stoneroller Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 went to some strip mine lakes today in ILL Annoy, the bass were absolutely on fire! I caught 20 bass in 5 hrs, all quality fish. One of the guys I took out caught his personal best, a 20 inch 5 lb largemouth. Bluegill were also biting in some very shallow water. Water temps started at 51º around noon and peaked at 55º. Dirty water supposedly warms faster than clear water, so most Illinois farm ponds should be great. Fish On Kayak Adventures, LLC.
