straw hat Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Man I couldn't buy a bite today. Water temp was 46, somewhat clearer than last Thursday, stained some but looked good. The wife came up with 1 keeper and I struke out. Saw a lot of people with whites, mostly small males but a couple nice females. Also saw a couple small walleye caught. Lots of people both in boats and on the bank. The weather forecast is talking about an inch or more of rain tomorrow so things will change if that happens. I hope you all did better than us.

Members AlaskaGrown Posted March 11, 2012 Members Posted March 11, 2012 Fished around the Turkey Creek branch from the bank this afternoon. Caught several bass on minnows and a crawdad crankbait. Only one keeper size. Hooked into and landed a nice 20" walleye at dusk! That was the first walleye I have ever caught that was over 12 inches! Im thinking about heading to the dam to try and fish along the riprap to catch some more later this week.
