Clearest Area Of The Lake?

I've fished around a little bit lately and have found some pretty clear water around the dam. Just curious some of you guys who fish a lot what part of the lake do you think has the best visability?

It is almost always clearest near the dam. Today I was on the lake and water at mid lake had that slight green tinge common in spring. The dam area was very clear yesterday.

Thats kind of what I figured. But there are a handful of lakes I fish(wappapello, clearwater) where the majority of the time the rivers have the clearest water. Thanks for the reply Panfisher!
