Flatbottom Boy Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Made a trip out to the Glaize with the kayak yesterday. Man what a great day to be out on the water. Fished accross from the military resort drifting jigs over brush up against the high rock banks. A LOT of short fish but managed a limit just the same. They seemed to prefer the red tube jig with white tail, suspended from 8-15 ft in 20 FOW. Boaters where actually really good and courteous, slowing down and not swamping my yak. (much appreciated if you where one of them)
buckcreekmike Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Sounds like a nice day and good results. I'll be at the 7MM this weekend bass fishing. We'll see how it goes.
Members VIP Posted March 18, 2012 Members Posted March 18, 2012 Was on the Glaize today. Had some pretty good luck despite the tourney going on. Caught some decent bass on spinnerbaits on the banks, and crappie around docks at 15 ft in 25-35 FOW on Red/Green tubes. Had to dodge the lightning a few times and wiped the cobwebs off the rain gear, but good day to be out.
