Saw some strutters near Montauk this morning, but haven't heard any from porch yet this year. Always do on both sides of me in years past. Have been fishing early and listening every morning this week and either they're way down or still mouthing it this year.

I've been sleeping with the windows open in this nice weather and this morning I rudely awaken as I tried to sleep in by a gobble fest starting at about 7:05 and they didn't stop til 9 am. It's the first morning I've heard them, but they were rocking out this morning.

Saw 2 bigguns strutting for 14 hens today while we were moving the track loader.
