Feathers and Fins Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 This day started off a little Lonney But the water temp was 60.2 the wind was light at 5 to 10mph and the water was clear. The shad are getting a little harder to fins as the water is stained up where they are, but the day was beautiful and I did manage to get plenty of shad for the afternoon. It siined turned into another day of stripers, whites and Bass. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

Feathers and Fins Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 Threadfin and Gizzard, They are top water feeding but with the wind of late its been slower. If we could get a day without wind it would explode im sure. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
BlueWave Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 F&F, thanks for your great reports!! I will be down with the Fly Rod next week. Are you hearing of of anyone finding Stripers down lake toward Rocky Branch, Cliftys, point 4.??
jeb Posted March 17, 2012 Posted March 17, 2012 Heard and saw loons on the lake yesterday, too. They're not around for long, so enjoy them while you can. I usually go to a lake in Wisc for a couple of months during the summer and have loons around me quite often, at least daily, while fishing. Never tire of seeing or hearing them. Feathers and Fins Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 Blue, they might be there but I havent gone looking yet. With the sheer volume of shad in PC, Avoca and near the islands the stripers wont be far from it. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
