Wayne SW/MO Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 It can be a bad sign, if it's a result of high metabolism from the temps and their affinity to running water could be a sign the O2 is low. Hopefully the springs will keep pumping until we get some relief. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Thats the good thing about the Finley, its got a lot of little springs that really help a ton when the temps are this high. Thats one of the first things you notice when you wade that river. One spot is very hot the next is like an ice cube. I believe that fishing is usually better when there is a full moon. People are more crazy when there is a full moon. Thank God He made fish the way He did so I can have better fishing when people are crazier than normal.
RSBreth Posted June 25, 2012 Author Posted June 25, 2012 That's one reason in this kind of weather I also like the James below where Crane dumps in - cooler water and less stress on the fish. I like hearing about other good people enjoying the upper Finley - it's a nice little creek.
