Looking to go camping and fishing this sunday on the Elk with my wife and 2 year old.

Anyone have any suggestions on which campground would be best for a family?

what is the river like right now after those rains last week?

Any advice on " go to" lures for this river and time of year or just typical river fishing lures?

Thanks.

Depending on the amenities you need I would either contact wackyworm (remote camping, no electricity etc.). Or shady beach (full service store, electricity close to the river, etc.).

We camp at shady beach as my family requires electricity. Let them know you are with children and they will keep you close to other families.

I would defintely call Russ at Hog Heaven whether or not you use his place. I drove over the Elk on Sunday and it looked to be still a little high.

There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!

hey there sunday will be a great day to float

you could float little sugar, big sugar, or elk

fish are starting to bite water still moving a little

so you might stop and fish the hot spots

please call 417-223-2369 for info

what days do you want to camp, when do you want to float etc
