Just watched the on water videos that FLW has up. Understood the guys were looking and searching for nests, but was still surprised by how fast they were moving down the spawn banks between fish. Maybe I just fish too slowly as a rule.

Also surprised to see one throwing an A-rig as a search bait.

I move pretty quick (but I always do) and like a lot of those guys on tape I use flukes, floating worms or swimbaits as search baits because if the fish rises on those you can usually bet there is a bed around...plus sometimes you just catch them. Sight fishing is like the A-Rig to me...I will only do it if money is on the line so I don't have to worry about messing with either anymore.

Guess I even search slower...swimming a grub, dragging a split shot, something wacky rigged but fished slowly.

I just get up and parrallel the bank looking for beds as I fire way out in front. If I get on top of one that is worth catching I will just turn around and try to catch him. The key is to find the right ones and I usually have to cover a lot of water to find the those unless you found some prefishing that you already have way points for. I used to always focus on the shorter pockets so I wouldn't have to trolling motor long stretches looking...I would hit 20-30 in a day looking for 5-6 good ones.
