Nwtf gobbler Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Put in at CC this morning at about 8:00 to find the lower lot and half the overflow lot already full. Fished for crappie a couple hours without a single hit. As a matter of fact, i never saw a crappie caught all day. Decided to throw a plastic worm on a chunk rock/gravel/ bluff bank along the channel. Found a log hanging down into the water and caught my limit without ever moving the boat. Caught 7 total, with the best 5 going about 15 lbs or so. Not a bad few hours on the lake. Oh yeah, when I left the lot there were over 60 trailers there at noon, with more coming in.
dennis boatman Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Yep...High gas prices haven't seemed to slow things down... A strike indicator is just a bobber...
Members walker04 Posted March 31, 2012 Members Posted March 31, 2012 i went fishing for whites today on sac river, nothing...went to CC just to see what was going on around 2pm, everyone claimed that NOTHING was being caught except crappie. I thought for fun I would toss a spook...the LMBass were nailing it, 4 casts in a row at 1 point. All short, but fun for sure!
