sandbc Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 got to cc at 6:45. lower parking lot was already full. couldnt park along side road because of so many boats lined up on the road waiting to unload. at least i can say the ones ahead of us had their act together and got backed in and unloaded quickly. good job. i cant stand people that cant back a trailer and then load their boat at the ramp and forget to unhook the boat or put the plug in. as for the fishing, the crappie were not on the banks. was a very slow start but finally found a honey hole in 8 ft of water with fish 4 or 5 ft deep. and then it ended about noon. couldnt buy a fish for three hours. and just like that they turned back on. morning was mostly on minnows. afternoon we caught them almost every cast on any kind of charturse/glitter jig mostly 9 inchers and then suddenly they quit jigs and we started catching slabs on minnows until we limited out. what a beautiful day in all respects. good luck everyone and someone give me a report on cedar ridge where i normaly go.
