Fishingswmo and I took the boys out for some hot brownie fishing in the waters of SWMO on Saturday. The water had a really good color to it, just slightly tinged from the recnet rains. It also had dropped quite a bit, though it still had a pretty good flow to it. We had lots of sun from the bluebird skies. In fact it was warm enough that we stopped a few times and swam. Yeah, swimming in March!!

At our put in, I struck gold on my first cast. I looked at Fishin' and said I hope this is a good sign. We had talked earlier about how all the guy's on the east side were struggling the last few days on the river. We were really pumped and didn't want to experience the same.

As we headed down stream, it seemed as if though, we would struggle. Corndawg kept fairly busy cathing fish. Most of his fish came from strainers with a deep pocket. He biggest of the was a 3lb 2oz LM.

Fishin also stayed fairly busy throughout the day picking one up here and there. His largest was a 16 inch brownie. Most all of the brownies came from the bottom end of riffels. All were fat with eggs too.

At the end of the day, we all scored about 15 to 20 fish apiece. I didn't catch any big ones myslef, a couple 14 inchers was about all. And most of my fish came in about the last 2 hrs of fishing. I caught most of my fish on cranks. I couldn't buy a bite on soft plastics for some reason. Fishin caught most of his on soft plastics. Corndawg scored with both. So all in all, we ended our 10 1/2 hour oddesy with about 60 fish between us. Not the day we were hoping for but, not as bad as it could have been.

Thanks. Looks like I need to do a little proof reading and some spell checking though.
