Members Jig Posted April 2, 2012 Members Posted April 2, 2012 Blacks were in 2' of water in back of small cove. Water temp in there was 71 degrees. Whites are still scattered. Caught my limit 3 days in roll. Fried fish tonight.

Seth Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 That's my favorite non chartreuse color. Always have done well with it.
Members big country Posted April 6, 2012 Members Posted April 6, 2012 thanks for the info. I'm hoping to go to the lake on monday, either going to fish the Gravois or Glaize arm. Not sure which yet. Will post any info if I get to go.
Members NickIL Posted April 6, 2012 Members Posted April 6, 2012 Shiner, If you decide to fish the Glaize you should hit them pretty good. I was down there last weekend and the water was off color (chocolate milk), but there were plenty of 10 - 12" crappie up on the banks. Good luck. NickIL
Members VIP Posted April 7, 2012 Members Posted April 7, 2012 Was at Shawnee Bend area today, and caught some on the bank and but mostly around the docks. Still full of eggs, so it ain't over yet. 69 deg and slightly stained but pretty good condition, red and green was the ticket for us. What is up with all the moss this year? I haven't seen this much in years. Dock are just covered with it, and forget about the first two feet from the bank. Doesn't matter, still having a blast being out.
Members big country Posted April 8, 2012 Members Posted April 8, 2012 going to the lake tommorrow. Anybody know if the crappie are still spawning in the Glaize arm?
Members big country Posted April 10, 2012 Members Posted April 10, 2012 Went to the Glaize arm yesterday. The crappie bite was tough. I caught my limit but my friend only got 5 or 6. The water was muddy to stained depending on where you where. We only caught 4 females and only 2 of the males had torn up tails. Don't know if the fish have all come and gone or if they haven't really started yet. We caught all of our fish from 2 to 20 feet off the bank, from 1 to 4 feet deep. Couldn't seem to get more than 2 or 3 fish out of any one spot. On the plus side almost all the fish we caught were keepers. If anyone knows if the spawn is over or just starting on the Glaize I would greatly appreciate any info.
