Members Chris J Posted April 6, 2012 Members Posted April 6, 2012 Water was 68, clear water, cloudy Found some white bass ( all big and egg filled) while trolling. All before the temp started dropping then after it dropped landed a big MUSKY he got off ten feet from boat. They have some cool pics of the musky that was trapped by conservation at the marina. Had great time.
Members evnrude18 Posted April 6, 2012 Members Posted April 6, 2012 Nice work! Caught a 30" Muskie last Saturday on a jerk bait. One heck of a fight!
Bassmaster21 Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 The more and more I pay attention it sounds like the Musky are really startin to grown in numbers and size out there. What should I use if I was goin to troll for them.

Members fisherman wannabe Posted April 7, 2012 Members Posted April 7, 2012 I took the kids over there on wed. march 28th and we saw a guy land a 36" mushy will fishing for crappie. After taking it to the marina to have his picture taken, him and his wife released the fish. I was impressed with that.
Members evnrude18 Posted April 7, 2012 Members Posted April 7, 2012 The last two trips I have taken while bass fishing have landed a muskie by pure accident. Both on the first catch of the day, early morning. It's been 3 years since I caught my last one up until this year.
Bassmaster21 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 I just now got a boat I can take out on the water there so I'll try my luck with them. I have seen people catch them and have always wanted to but being limited to the bank it has been difficult to hook into one.
Members evnrude18 Posted April 8, 2012 Members Posted April 8, 2012 They put up one hell of a fight. Be prepared. : )
Members walker04 Posted April 10, 2012 Members Posted April 10, 2012 im headed to fellows next mon, where could I put in a john boat? any special permits needed? any direction on fishing this lake, never fished it before.
exiledguide Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 im headed to fellows next mon, where could I put in a john boat? any special permits needed? any direction on fishing this lake, never fished it before. Yearly boat permit is $35.00. If I was going next monday I would look at the south bank on the south side I haven't been able to fish since last Nov due to my wifes medical problems (back surgery) so I can'tgive you any current info but if every thing goes all right with the doctor I might get out next week myself. Be aware that Fellows can be a problem when the winds kick up especialy from the southwest. However it is my favorite lake to fish.
