buddygr53 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 going to be fishing the last weekend of the month. Was there for the flw and the bass was on the beds. will they be gone by the end of the month? also if they are off the beds and have moved out what part of the lake would be best and what would i look for.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Moving out is sort of the reverse of moving in. Some of the fish will stop on cover associated with deep water close to where they spawned. Things like pole timber towards the mouth of spawn pockets, big cedars along swing banks in the creeks (on the road back to the main lake). Some will move to places like bluff ends and main swings. Some will move to the big flat gravel. Some of the brown fish that are done will congregate in middle of deep coves and pockets and chase shad. They will be in places where meals are easy and plentiful. If we get the cool rain called for it could slow things down a bit, keep a few up. Hoping for that myself. If they finish there will still be some fish up chasing the various fry. Post spawn can actually be a better bite once they settle in, just a little less size.
