Gavin Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Sculpin Olive rocks on the 11pt...its a good match the abundant coldwater crawfish.Crawfish are incredibly abundant on the NFoW as well..but they are a golden tan not olive.
bigredbirdfan Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 http://zigjig.net/ Hands down the best jigs you can buy. No offense to anyone on here who sells them. Ginger is the one I have the most success with but the Ginger/Olive and Tri-Olive are equally good.
Members Colorado Bassmaster Posted April 10, 2012 Author Members Posted April 10, 2012 Thanks guys, good info. Ron, I agree with the Road Runner statement. It too was a mainstay of mine as a kid. We use to fish the creeks between Rolla and St James in the summer. We would walk the creeks for miles fishing Beetle Spins, Road Runners and Rebel Wee Craws. Use to catch 100 fish a day. Ahhhh, the good 'ole days...
Members Paul Posted April 16, 2012 Members Posted April 16, 2012 Sculpin Olive is a great color as is Black & Yellow. I have caught every kind of fish on Black & Yellow. A new color I have had good luck with is Sculpin Olive & Ginger & Light Olive. Best jigs and the best prices I have found are from Flatheadjig. All of their jigs are made in the Ozarks. http://www.flatheadjig.com
