Members 3inonegod Posted April 11, 2012 Members Posted April 11, 2012 I am coming down to the rock tomorrow to fish with my brother. We typically fish from the KC bridge to Aunts Creek. I was hoping we could get a little help. What has been working for you folks. What is the water clarity, etc. Thanks, David
dtrs5kprs Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 Pretty quiet around here except for crappie posts. Because of the Central this weekend?
vacation Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Ok, I'll not be quiet and give my quick report. I fished last Sat. Sunday day, Monday and last nights and have found the same pattern to be true near the Dam area. I have caught no less than 6 keeper size bass each outing (outing usually 2-3 hrs) all ranging from 15-18 inches caught on bright colored wiggle warts...bright colored being the key. Last night I caught them on crome colored bagleys shallow diving crankbait. I believe every fish I have caught are males...best 5 fish at any given day was 10-14 lbs. I have had best success on steeper banks in spawning pockets....just imagine where you think they'd make a bed and pull out toward deeper water from that spot. I am looking for the big females in the 10-15 fow range, but just keep catching males. Hope this report helps some of you get on some action anyway.

Was beginning to think they had drained the lake or something. Much appreciated.
