Larry Eby Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Read some of the posts about cooler water and fish yet to spawn. With that said, has anyone caught any shallow soaking a senko?
dtrs5kprs Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Lots of brown fish shallow. 3-6'. Using 1/16oz head and 1/2 Senko. Aka Ned Rig.
Larry Eby Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Well that answered my other post for Ned rigging question. Stretches that senko use out.
Tfsh4bass Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 I haven't thrown a senko but there are plenty of fish up shallow

Members ksbugman200 Posted April 18, 2012 Members Posted April 18, 2012 The Ned rig is basically a 1/16 oz. Ball head or mushroom head jig rigged with half of a senko style bait. Ned Kehde of Lawrence, Kansas is who has written about it, thus the name Ned rig.
Members 3inonegod Posted April 18, 2012 Members Posted April 18, 2012 Last weekend my brother and I cought a good 40 fish shallow, mostly males.
dtrs5kprs Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Good whacky bite today. 3-6' on Senkos. 10 keepers on it today plus 1 n shskry head early. Had lots of trouble getting fish hooked on senko. Lost many of all sizes. Mostly brown fish and LM. Mix of pre and post. This was shallow water near main lake...cuts and pockets close to channel.
