Brian Wise Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 The final Galloup fly....the Boogie Man. Definitely a play off of the Dungeon. Materials Rear Hook: Hook - Gamakatsu B10s #2 Tail: Marabou Body: Estaz Hackle: Schlappen Wing: Mallard Articulation Point - Beadalon with Glass Beads Front Hook: Hook - Gamakatsu B10s #1 Eyes - Lead Body - Estaz Hackle - Schlappen Wing - Mallard Head - Wool Next I will move to Mike Schmidt's patterns with the Double Deceiver coming up first (I was so excited about doing the Double Deceiver that I shot it before I finished all of the Galloup flies) and underwater video will be back. Again, thanks guys. My Youtube Channel
Jason R. Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 Man, awesome video- I think that is the coolest looking galloup pattern. Last time I tied the I went with deer hair heads just because I hate casting a wool head. Can't wait for the Schmidt patterns- those suckers fish like crazy. http://flyinthesouth.com/

Can't wait for the Schmidt patterns- those suckers fish like crazy. Gonna have some fun with Schmidt's patterns, there aren't quite so many of them but they are crazy-cool. Also shot a tying video with Kyle Kosovich with some "Behind the Scenes" stuff, should be cool and thrown in somewhere in the middle of everything. My Youtube Channel

Lancer09 Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 you. are. the. man. If Only I fished enough to warrant tying as many of these flies as I have.
Jason R. Posted April 20, 2012 Posted April 20, 2012 I know- I have way too many of these considering I rarely get to use them out on the white. They're just so fun to tie. http://flyinthesouth.com/
Brian Wise Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 If Only I fished enough to warrant tying as many of these flies as I have. I just recently started tying nymphs again because guiding season forced me to....tied big streamers ALL WINTER, and it was awesome. My Youtube Channel
Lancer09 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 I made it over to back country, bought 100 some odd hooks. Tied a boogie man and ran out of wool, and two sex dungeons and ran out of eyes. This is getting a bit ridiculous. On the note of Schmidt'svpatters, any plans to do a video for the mufasa, that thing is real fishy looking, and doesn't look hard.
Nortrad Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Dang! Missed the 'opening day' for the vid...it's all good. Going to try some of these in olive, dark brown, black, tan, yeah boy...the mallard really makes it suspend a little in the water. Nice video again...same story, gotta tie some nymphs up, oops, streamer addiction...
