Members Saltydawg Posted April 23, 2012 Members Posted April 23, 2012 On Friday, we fished the big sac arm for about 3 hours. We caught around 30 crappie. Probably 15 keepers along with a few white bass mixed in. These fish were suspended a few feet above the bottom. They were fat and full of eggs. Whoever said all the crappie were spawned out is not correct. Cant wait for them to move into shallow water!

powerdive Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 The suspended bite in the spawning coves seems to last thru May and a week or so into June most years. High water extends the bite. It's rather early this year, go figure.
straw hat Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 You nailed it right on the head powerdrive!! Everything seems early this year.
