I Heard birch branchwas a good place to fish During the crappie spawn. Opinions ? Also, is there any access to launch a smaller boat around there ? I can't tell from the maps. Any gravel roads that end in water ? It would be quite a haul from cc with my 9.9 fourstroke lol

I have attached a map of a couple of county roads that should help ... You will turn off of 215 where it changes to "Y" and go south on 185(?) ... I can send a bigger map but it won't show the road numbers.... PM me if you want a different map...... You could also go north on "CC" off of 160....

Good job on the map Zarraspook. The reason you never see vehicles on the end of the road 691 is that that road really sucks. You can tear up a vehicle on it easy. If you continue south over the culvert that ZS has marked and then take the next right you will find a good access. That road comes out at th end of that small cove there on the south end of Birch Branch. Good road and you should be able to launch there easily. There is some great crappie and bass fishing there in that cove year around. Good luck.

If you are using a trailer to lauch then would use the access from CR 182, and if lauching a small jon boat then would use CR 691. I've seen people fishing from the bank at the CR 691 and were catching more crappie than I was from the boat.

I also just looked at this on Google Maps and it lists CR 182 as CR 43 and CR 691 as CR 177. I have no idea which is correct.

I made the map with my 2007 Microsoft Streets & Trips....

I wouldn't bet on either Microsoft or Google , after you get out of the city or off a Interstate !!!!!!!!
