Guest flyfishBDS Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 WOOHOO nice to find some old friends hanging out again. Plastic hatch has left the river, air is getting cool and the big browns are showing up We have found several very decent fish, and some huge fish. My client Tuesday connected to one, briefly, that would have gone 30" so they can be fooled. Bryce and I did a recon last night, to check on the night fishing, fished one pool downstream and while it was fairly slow (lots of missed hits on big flies) in fish landed I did catch and release this fish _ 22" brown on a size 6 flash-a-bugger. A few tips, scout the area you are going to fish in daylight to work out where any traps are warm clothes its cool down there put new battieries in your headlamp don't forget your gloves take a big net take a friend Catch and release this big fish. Its taken them a long time to get this big but only a split second to kill them and then what are you going to fish for next week. Cheers Steve
