bferg Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Hit the RB area this AM before work from about 5:15 to 7:00 AM. Looking for the topwater striper bite. Was not disappointed....wind laid down just enough set it up nicely, although I would have given anything for some clouds! Not much doing at first but then breakfast was served at about 6:30. Multiple shad blitzes near wind blown banks. None of them lasted long but we just stayed in the area and kept casting and catching fish. Caught quite a few hybrids and this little striper. Was back in the office by 8:30. Not a bad start to a Wednesday! Thanks to F and F for his quality reporting lately- our fish were mainly caught shallow but were all on long sloping points as promised by F and F!
Stump bumper Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Sounds better than the morning I had painting living room.......good fish
Feathers and Fins Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Excellant glad you got in them. I was stuck in Kansas all day actually working, yes i do have a job other than catching fish and keeping you guys on the bite lmao. As the week goes on with this weather I would bet it keeps getting better and better. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
