Sprint21fter Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I am a member of Ozark Anglers and fish Table Rock but I am heading to Stockton for a bass fishing trip and am curious to which area of the lake to concentrate on. Is the fishing similar to fishing Table Rock Lake or is it totally different. Are the fish in all phases of the spawn or are they slowing down since we had a mild winter and are more post spawn. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
justin scobee Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 I have fished table rock my whole live with my father but now that I fish on my own I fish Stockton. I think its very diff. The water color mostly. Thanks justin
Hunter91 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Fished today and caught a bunch of keepers on a jig. No big fish just 15-17 inchers. Mostly on breaks from about 15 to 21ft
Members HendoStL Posted May 9, 2012 Members Posted May 9, 2012 Fished in tourney last weekend and did well in maze creek, about halfway back to backs of coves. Spooks in morning and senkos/chompers in afternoon. Had 13 lbs on fri, 10 on sat, but struggled on sun. Think our spots dried up. Others were doing well in Price on senkos and Carolina rigs.
Nwtf gobbler Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Fished the CC area for a couple hours before dark tonight and caught a ton of bass on a junebug colored plastic worm. Only a couple keepers, but the little ones were a lot of fun too. Just no big ones like I used to catch down at Cape Fair when I was little.
justin scobee Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 hey I love them junebuy and candybug down at cape fair and mill Creek. I lost my biggest fish down by mill creek on a candybug at the mill creek tourney one night . I had it at the boat and my father was to slow with the net and she broke off. I said it was over 8lb and My father said it was over 10 lb But ill till u what it was bigggggg large mouth. I was sooooo mad I broke a $180 st. Croix rod over my fathers boat motor. lol he was more mad about me braking my rod then me hiting his motor. I still no where she lies at. been there a few times and never got another chance at her.
Members tmoney Posted May 9, 2012 Members Posted May 9, 2012 Cedar ridge is a great ramp and I like the little sac arm better. I fish the rock and stock and stock is good but the wind can get crazy! I do well on carolina rig, BBH in watermelon candy, biffle bugs, jigs, and shad or blue flk power worms. Tons of walleye and crappie fishers so u won't have to much competition for spots.
Sprint21fter Posted May 9, 2012 Author Posted May 9, 2012 Appreciate the info guys and will let you know how the trip goes.
