Skeeter ZX190 Posted May 13, 2012 Posted May 13, 2012 Put in by the dam and fished mainly from the 215 bridge north toward the dam. We started at 8 a.m. and fished until 3 p.m. Caught around 30 total and 4 of them were keepers. One of the keepers was a nice 16 inch smallmouth. Most everything came on a carolina rigged llzard in green pumpkin. Caught a couple on topwater early right after we started but then the sun came out and we went deeper. Main lake and seconary points with rock on them produced the best.
Members eshay Posted May 13, 2012 Members Posted May 13, 2012 Good to read that there is some bass fishing going on. Fishing a 9 boat club tournament out of Orlean Trails next weekend. Hoping that the water stays in the bushes. Will write up anything that we do or don't figure out.
Members Golf Pro Posted May 13, 2012 Members Posted May 13, 2012 Sorry. The Corp has already almost pulled all the water out of the bushes. Didn't take a week for them to drop the lake a foot and a half.

Your right Golf Pro and I was just looking at their schedule for next week and it is just as bad. I doubt if there will be any water in the bushes by then. Every day next week is suppose to be sunny too so it may drop the fish back to some significantly deeper water fast.
