Members Dollar Bill Posted May 17, 2012 Members Posted May 17, 2012 I'm in on this! I like the idea of a multi fish tourney 'cause all of us are better at some kind of fishing than others... Maybe $10 a head with a boater and non-boater and split the payout between biggest bass, crappie, walleye and catfish. Then have a fish fry after with all of us sharing a little from our freezer. Be a good way to meet and greet and we could come up with some "door prizes" to make it even more fun... Either have it at the lake or we could even do it at my place (but thats a 40 minute drive!) Let's get it done before it gets too hot or we'll have to do it at night... Maybe that's OAF II... bill (boater) Is this fun or what!
fishbait3 Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 Sounds good dollar bil. i was thinking of a lil entry fee then the pay out could be new tackle/gift cards depending on placing/Value. we could even have a drawings/door prizes for tackle sets or what not. Of course we could do a cook out. THanks for offering your place possibly. I drvie easily 40 miles ot the lake anyway. Would like to do this around first or second week of June Josh aka:FB3--non boater-
Nwtf gobbler Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 I think that would be awesome. The only problem I may have with scheduling is that my 4 year old is just starting his first year of Tball on saturdays in June and part of July. There's no way he will let me miss a game. Hopefully timing will work out to where I can still fish it though. Put me in as a potential "boater". Jason
fishbait3 Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 NWTF thats cool it might have to be during a week sometime since not all of us have the weekends off. I was just planning a meet and great first during that time frame i mentioned, then we could work details out more that day possibly when we are all in person than trying to get it done online. It might even be easier just for everyone to PM me on ideas then i can relate them back to you all and go from there. Like i stated i was just wanting to see if peoiple wanted to even actually do this, and with the feed back i have been giving sounds like it will be going to happen. I have never done a tourney before so im clueless to that as well as im a non boater, that loves fishing by boat and getting to know people.
9LB Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Sounds like a lot of fun besides for the Crappie part. But I will fish for anything. I have a walleye boat and a pontoon so If we're fishing crappies I might also have an extra boat if guys can fish crappies out of a tri toon. I am up every weekend so I am also flexible on dates.
Members ibdgolfman Posted May 17, 2012 Members Posted May 17, 2012 I'd be in I don't have a boat, but could team up. Ron I would be glad to fish with ya. Not great at jigging but I usally catch some on minnows. Email me @ ibdgolfman@yahoo.com.
zarraspook Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Put me down as a Boater.. I will fish for all ( except GAR & CARP ) -- prefer BASS '99 Ranger Fisherman ( AKA Walleye boat ).. With my normal fishing pardoners; execpt we lost the dog, last year, after 13.5 years.....and the wife don't do tournaments.. "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
justin scobee Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Hey josh I say it will be 2 more weeks. But put me down as a boater. We even could buddy up in 3s if theres not anuff boaters. I got a old 17ft champion with a 115 and its a new boat to me so im still trying to fig it all out.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 17, 2012 Root Admin Posted May 17, 2012 I'll help. I could help with a fish fry. Depends on the date though. I'm pretty flexible except for a week in June - going to Boston for my son's wedding.
