I stopped by Fin and Feather I thought it was only for Fly fishing. This is my kind of fishing place. I did not pick up what I was looking for but will be back to stock back up on the plastics. As far as Academy's issue they just can not manage their inventory which is pretty Retail 101. I will go back for the hunting gear but even though Academy is blocks away they r no longer a fishin store option. Maybe in the winter when they are not selling anything. I guess good for them - sold out is a good thing.

I love going into Fin and Feather, they don't have alot but what they have is not junk. They are usually not too busy and you can get in and out quickly if you need to. I get along with the guys there I suppose because I used to play pool with the owner (who is one of the best pool players in the state, maybe even the country) and I like talking with the old men in there and they will always tell you what's biting and where if you ask. They also get alot of expensive gear that is on close out and they will tell you what they are expecting to come in. I have been to Academy once and was not impressed, if I want to go into a big store they have nothing on Bass Pro.
