Took the advice of rps and fished real close to home. Put in at Holiday Island and fished to Eagle Rock. First cast at 5:05, started within clear view of my house, Had 23 blacks with 5 over 15 inches 3 nice whites and 1, 21 inch Walleye I will have for supper. Thanks Craig. Hint, I could not tell if we were in Arkansas or Missouri on the Eye. Off at 11;30 when then Navy began arriving for the weekend. Most EARlY on the fin, some on WE spinnerbait(mouse) and some on drop shot. Like rps I also had an easy 5 pounder on but when she cleared water my fin went one way she the other. That means another day for sure. Good Luck. Duck

Yes rps early, early, is the ticket. We are trying to find something later but with few results. Maybe the drop shot will pick up soon. It sure is fun lookin though. What a lake we have here, where else would anyone want to go when you can catch fish dam to dam. Duck

great reports duck and rps. Duck, was that eye caught near a shallow brushy area? Keep those updates coming fellas, couple more weeks and my sons youth sports will be over and we will join y'all. RPS, still have that spook you gave me, it's a little beat up but still catching them.

I fished around Baxter today and caught them pretty good from 5:30 to 7 fishing flats...caught 17 in that time with probably 10 being keepers but nothing over 3lbs. After that I just ran points with a crank and caught 11 more and left the lake around 11.

Just keepers so probably not...that bite is coming though and I usually get on some good ones the first couple weeks of June. Just about every fish I caught cranking were spitting up crawdads and I have done best lately with that pattern crank.
